How do you set it up?
With accounts at both companies, you copy your Payer name and API key from the API Integration section in Tipalti into HitPath, then enter the URL HitPath provides as the IPN page in Tipalti.
You need accounts with both HitPath and Tipalti before you start. Then follow these steps:
- Obtain the Payer name and API key. In Tipalti, find your Payer name and API key under the "API Integration" section.
- Add them to HitPath. Enter the Payer name and API key from Tipalti into HitPath.
- Set up the IPN page. HitPath provides a URL. Use it to set up the IPN (Instant Payment Notification) page in Tipalti.
What do affiliates need to do?
Affiliates set up their Tipalti payment profile in their HitPath login under Account Details > Payment Info, where they enter payment details and choose a payment method.
Once the profile is in place, affiliates can keep tracking their earnings through HitPath while Tipalti handles the payment. The result is timely payments, transparency, and flexibility, which can build trust and loyalty between networks and their affiliates.
How do you pay affiliates and track payments once it is live?
You start payments from the HitPath UI, which sends them to Tipalti, and you follow the Payment Status column under Accounting > Tipalti.
When a payment is submitted in HitPath, it is sent to Tipalti. You can then monitor its status under the "Accounting > Tipalti" menu in the "Payment Status" column.
